This two part series for Gilette is a one-shot wonder, highlighting the magic of CGI and advanced motion control. We used the Bolt system to pull off some seriously dynamic camera moves, ensuring everything was spot-on.
Previz is always a game-changer for us. By crafting detailed 3D Previz, we planned every element down to the last detail and sent the camera movement data to the Bolt operator before the shoot. This meant we only needed to fine-tune on set, saving us a ton of time and hassle.
Some shots have more than 40 individual VFX layers, all shot with the Bolt in motion. This approach gave us the depth and complexity we needed to make the visuals pop. Each layer was shot separately, making sure everything integrated smoothly.
While shooting, we realized some shots needed to be reversed to fit perfectly. In postproduction, we swapped out different parts of the image, including body parts, to get the final look just right. This flexibility let us adapt to creative changes quickly and deliver a polished, top-notch result.
From start to finish, we were involved in every step of the project, streamlining the production process. By combining the Bolt system with our advanced VFX techniques, we simplified complex shots and boosted the visual impact of the series.
In the end, our innovative approach and state-of-the-art techniques brought the Gillette Pro Glide spot to life.
